Canadian Graduates (Outside Ontario)
If you are relocating from another Canadian province you could become registered once you have provided evidence of having met all the requirements for registration or the requirements for registration in accordance with the labour mobility provisions of the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991. You can expect the registration process to be completed within 10 business days.
This section applies to you if:
- you do NOT hold a current practising certificate of registration in one of the specialties of medical radiation technology from Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, or Nova Scotia,
- you completed an educational program in a specialty of medical radiation technology in a province of Canada other than Ontario, or
- you completed an educational program in a specialty of medical radiation technology in Ontario over five years ago and you did not register with the College.
In order to work as a medical radiation technologist in Ontario, you must be registered with the CMRTO. Detailed information regarding the registration requirements for the College may be found in the Regulations section.
If you have worked as a medical radiation technologist within the past five years and you have completed a program in medical radiation technology in Canada and successfully completed the CAMRT (or OTRQ) examination, you may be eligible to be registered with the College.
Print off and complete the form provided below, and submit it to the College with the application fee of $113.00 ($100.00 fee, $13.00 HST) and the required documentation. The College will contact you after having reviewed your application to inform you of the next steps.
The CMRTO will retain all copies of documents provided to the College with your application.
If you DO hold a current practising certificate of registration in one of the specialties of medical radiation technology from Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, or Nova Scotia, and would like to apply for registration with the CMRTO, you may be eligible to apply for registration under the labour mobility provisions of the Regulated Health Professions Act.
